The Democratic Party of Virginia requires local committees like the Arlington County Democratic Committee to reorganize every two years. This means that the Arlington Democrats must hold a “Reorganization Meeting” where the officers of the Arlington Democrats will be elected to two-year terms. Immediately prior to the commencement of the meeting, the Arlington Democrats will hold a caucus at which precinct captains for all 54 voting precincts in Arlington will be elected to two-year terms. The next Arlington Democrats Reorganization Meeting will be held on January 3, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School. Consistent with the DPVA State Party Plan and our bylaws, the Arlington Democrats adopted rules to govern the conduct of this Reorganization Meeting and Caucus.
Each form below must be completed and timely returned to the Arlington Democrats to run for an elected officer or precinct captain position or to vote in the leadership election. A print copy may be mailed to the Arlington Democrats at P.O. Box 7132, Arlington, VA 22207, or placed in the hands of an Arlington Democrats representative in the lobby of the Arlington Democrats HQ building during the time periods noted on the filing form.
A completed PDF electronic form may be sent to reorg@arlingtondemocrats.org by the deadlines noted below.
Ultimate acceptance of all forms is contingent upon verification that you are a Democrat duly registered to vote in Arlington County. You will be contacted if there is a problem with this verification.
