Arlington, VA – June 4, 2018— Arlington Democrats are eagerly anticipating the upcoming June 12, 2018, primary election between Chanda Choun and Matt de Ferranti, who are vying for the Democratic nomination for Arlington County Board.
- As a military veteran, refugee immigrant, and technology professional, Chanda aims to advance our County as the leader of Virginia economically, socially, and politically – to make Arlington the North Star of Virginia.
- Matt is running to expand opportunity for all Arlingtonians by making smart investments to build the schools we need to educate every child, grow our economy and expand economic opportunity, and work to make housing affordable for every resident.
Jill Caiazzo, Chair of the Arlington County Democratic Committee, noted: “It is exciting to see millennials and xennials answer the call to lead, including in Arlington. Each of our candidates has the energy and experience to move Arlington forward by maintaining our excellent schools, addressing housing affordability, improving our transportation system, and stimulating a strong economy for all. Flipping Virginia Blue begins in our backyard this year – with this critical Arlington County Board seat.”
