Arlington, VA – May 28, 2018— Arlington Democrats are excited to report an excellent turnout for the Fish Fry held for the Nauck Community on Memorial Day. In keeping with the Democratic spirit, the Fish Fry was catered by Nauck Youth Enterprises, LLC. Nauck Youth Enterprises, LLC teaches youth how to run businesses through experiential learning and training in the real world. The food was free and delicious, including fried fish, green beans, cole slaw, potato salad, hot dogs, popcorn, and lemonade and sweet tea. Children played and colored and neighbors socialized with each other, the Arlington Democrats, and some of their elected representatives!
Arlington Democrats hosted the Fish Fry to recognize and thank the Nauck community for its continued engagement and support. Voter education and registration were also available. The Fish Fry was held in the Town Square at the corners of Shirlington Rd., 24th St., and S. Kenmore Streets.
Asked what they thought of the Fish Fry, one resident said, “It’s a good time – with good food!”
Jill Caiazzo, Chair of the Arlington Democratic Committee, was pleased and excited to “celebrate with the Nauck community, to showcase the extraordinary work of Nauck Youth Enterprises, and to spend quality time with the community. I hope we can make this an annual event.”
