Caucuses
Outreach caucuses exist to advocate, elevate and champion our democratic values via issue/identity focused groups. Please consider joining any of the following caucuses. All are welcome to participate as many caucuses as desired.
The Mission of the Arlington Democrats AAPI Caucus is to represent the local AAPI community and encourage both non-partisan civic engagement & Democratic goals within the local and state AAPI community.
The Mission of the Arlington Democrats Disabilities Caucus is to represent the local disability community, increase awareness within Arlington Democrats of disability issues, and encourage both non-partisan civic engagement & Democratic goals within the local and state Disability community.
The Mission of the Arlington Democrats Equality Caucus is to present issues and act as an advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, & queer (“LGBTQ+”) persons throughout Arlington County, within the Arlington Democratic Committee, and in the Democratic Party of Virginia. The Caucus seeks to expand LGBTQ+ participation while supporting candidates dedicated to advancing policies that benefit the LGBTQ+ community in Arlington & across the Commonwealth.
We foster dialogue and engagement with Arlington and other faith communities in the DMV to ensure they are recognized, valued, and supported and in turn facilitate mutual support and respect and informed, progressive, and inclusive policies.
Through outreach with the Arlington business community, labor community, and local elected officials, work toward a more inclusive economy that is friendly to both workers and business.
The mission of the Arlington Democrats Latino Caucus (ADLC) is to increase the number of active Latino/Hispanic members in the Democratic Party and to foster member participation at all levels of the Democratic Party.
The ArlDems Veterans & Military Families Caucus conducts outreach to the Arlington County military and veteran community, their families, and their friends on behalf of the Arlington County Democratic Committee.
The mission of the Arlington Democrats Womxn’s Caucus is to unite the womxn of Arlington in support of the Democratic Committee, to encourage full and equal participation of womxn in the Committee, and to raise awareness of womxn’s issues in the Commonwealth and the Arlington Democratic Committee.
