Volunteering with a Precinct Team

What is a Precinct Team?

Virginia is not naturally Blue. We vote Blue because volunteers in Northern Virginia, especially in Arlington, work their tails off to get out every Democratic vote. We work in neighborhoods to make sure that every Democrat is registered and votes. But each neighborhood is different, and the best way to get every vote is for precinct teams in each neighborhood

to strategize and figure out how to reach voters in their particular area, with information about candidates, voter registration, early voting dates/locations, poll greeting and other activities.

We have Precinct Teams in every precinct and we are always looking for more volunteers to help us create, strategize and implement plans to reach every voter in your precinct. The opportunities to help are endless. The Arlington Democrats will train you, help you get started, and offer assistance along the way. If you've got ideas, or are interested in learning more, contact any of the following:

Arlington communities are divided into 54 voting precincts. Precinct Captains serve as Arlington Democrat's public face in their respective precincts. Captains are people excited about turning grassroots efforts into victory for Democrats! You can find your precinct by entering your address at the State Board of Elections Lookup Tool.
